Marketing
Bozone forgot one of our ads. Did run calendar placements
Chronicle gave us ½ price on a ½ page ad since they forgot to run the This Week ad we placed
ADSGC put up a poster that included us
Seventy-five of our own posters went up: 20 to West Yellowstone; 10 to Belgrade and Manhattan ; Jenna put up about ten in around Bozeman; Stacy Wesen put up 10 closer to Gallatin Gateway; Community Service youth volunteers put up 25 in restaurants. Insty Prints donated half the cost.
Postcard campaign: 1600 postcards mailed. Concerns about quality of the print job, though.
Chamber of Commerce included a message from us in their email newsletter as well as “donating” their mailing list
Radio ads: KBOZ, problematic with ad design. Only use pre-designed ads there.
Stephen Scott wrote a guest column on drinking and driving.
Other Marketing
Mark Ohm, Obvious Advertising, explained the benefit of bathroom stall advertising and offered to work with us on a campaign, donating
part of the cost
Bob presented the possibility of advertising for Super Bowl on pizza boxes. Domino's would be willing to attach 3x5 cards as will Pizza
hut.
Bob also presented on cable advertising: Bresnan's Channel 22 is very inexpensive, 30 minutes for $15. However, we would need a 30
minute spot to run and the number of viewers is questionable.
Streamline Presents
Streamline has given 100,000 rides in it's 2nd year. Forty-eight percent of the riders are students.
On January 3rd they will be expanding their service to 8:30 PM to 3 AM, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
New Year's Eve service – they need bus monitors. Jenna offered to send an email to the county list serve to see if any county staff want to volunteer.
Cat Cab “RIP” as of November 18th – new cab company owner raised prices
Request to Task Force to write a letter in support of the bus system and extended hours.
